The Account Executive I is responsible for recommending professional technology solutions to businesses within an assigned geographic territory.  Uses a consultative approach in assessing clients' technology needs and recommends the tools and services that will protect and support clients business using the services available within the EDTS portfolio.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meet monthly and quarterly quotas for new monthly Managed IT Agreement sales
  • Actively prospect industry specific market segments to locate potential clients via cold calling, canvassing, generating referrals, networking, and community involvement
  • Document KPIs established for measuring activity and performance
  • Understand the business impact of IT in specific industries and translate to IT needs
  • Work with sales engineering and sales support to develop quotes and solutions
  • Create proposals, PowerPoints, and necessary agreements for prospect presentations
  • Conduct presentations demonstrating how the services and products of EDTS can uniquely solve the prospect's challenges
  • Regularly attend industry specific networking events and association meetings Will require after hours involvement
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge on the features and benefits of EDTS' produces and services
  • Develop well-rehearsed talking points on key aspects of EDTS business, solutions, and differentiators
  • Maintain daily records in ConnectWise using Activities, Opportunities, Tickets, and Time Records.
  • Update ConnectWise Opportunities and Sales Funnel daily
  • Attend weekly sales meetings and ensure sales opportunities are compliant with company policy
  • Continually develop an educational and consultative approach to selling IT solutions
  • Keep up-to- date on industry related news and technology trends
  • Engage in technical sales training to further understand the specifics of EDTS' chosen technologies

Required education:

  • 2 years proven track record in technology sales and business development. Sales experience in B-2-B technology, telecom, managed services, and IT infrastructure  
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Willing to travel as job permits
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record and reliable, and insured vehicle
  • Possess a track record of managing the customer commitment, negotiation, and close of the sales process
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding written quota
  • Enjoy working with customers and external audiences
  • High energy and drive with good negotiation skills
  • Proficient with general office applications
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills
  • Skilled in preparing written communications and materials
  • Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
  • Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate data entry
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast moving environment
